Complexity Science and Health Systems: New Tools for an Old Problem

Dr. Pourbolhoul aims to develop and employ methods of complex systems analysis through multidisciplinary collaborations in order to optimize health policy design at the local, national, and international levels.  Global and public health policy design and decision making operate in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing landscape. This requires the systematic development of new decision-support tools at the interface of complex systems and health systems. This presentation will highlight some examples of these tools and describe how we can expand this framework to different areas in health systems research.
